Freedom Ascent is sponsored by Storyweavers Global, which is a non-denominational, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt Christian charity that serves local churches, denominations, and other ministries by strengthening them in vision and capacity for the four areas of practical training that we offer: personal discipleship, personal evangelism, healthy spirituality, and addiction recovery support. In what languages do you have Freedom Ascent training available?

Freedom Ascent leadership training is currently offered in English and Spanish. For other languages, please contact us.

How much does it cost to participate in Freedom Ascent?

We do not charge for participation in Freedom Ascent; however, participants and facilitators may have their own costs for travel or internet usage. If help is requested which involves international travel by our team members, we ask that the national or local hosts provide assistance with local in-country travel, housing and meals.

Can Freedom Ascent rescue an addict who I care about?

Addiction recovery has various facets depending on the addict’s condition. Freedom Ascent is not a medically-supervised rehabilitation program, but rather is a peer-support program for long-term recovery. Success in any recovery program requires willingness on the part of the participant to engage with establishing a new way of life. Freedom Ascent is designed to help provide supportive companionship on the recovery journey as together we seek to experience what it means to live strong in God’s power. This peer-support element can help your loved one to recover as long as they are willing to take responsibility to actively participate in the program.

How can I participate in Freedom Ascent?

Use the email contact form at the bottom of this page to let us know what your specific interest is, and we will contact you. Participating in Freedom Ascent can be online or in person. Participating in Freedom Ascent online sessions requires an excellent internet connection that can sustain a 90-minute video conference call. At this time, Freedom Ascent online session also require good fluency in English or Spanish. Physical presence gatherings of Freedom Ascent communities are obviously ideal. If there are not Freedom Ascent recovery groups in your area, we can dialog with you about what it takes to develop such a group.

How long does it take to get free of an addiction?

Freedom Ascent includes a year-long “launch” program to help participants get started on living out their recovery journey. In many cases however, this may need to be repeated to help a person work through all of their hurts and unhealthy habits which may have accumulated over many years. Personal timelines for recovery depend a lot on a person’s willingness to abandon their old habits and replace them with a new identity and habits.

Do you take public speaking engagements regarding Freedom Ascent?

We prefer to limit ourselves in this regard so that our focus stays on the core activities for which we exist of training up leadership and supporting the work of Freedom Ascent communities.
